about
Mark Rangel is a multidisciplinary art director and graphic designer with an international background spanning branding, advertising, editorial design, and product packaging. His passion for design began early, driven by a strong interest in visual storytelling and creative expression.
He started his career in Singapore, where he was actively involved in the performing arts before transitioning behind the scenes into design and production. In 1988, Mark joined Club Med resorts as a stage designer, creating sets, props, and promotional materials for live events. He later became the sole designer for Zouk Entertainment, one of Singapore’s most influential entertainment venues, producing all visual materials for events, fashion shows, and exhibitions.
In 1992, Mark’s work in the entertainment industry led to his role as Art Director of 8 Days, an entertainment magazine published by the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation. This marked the beginning of a long editorial career, during which he worked across entertainment, arts, fashion, and lifestyle publications. In 2002, he was appointed Creative Director of NewMan, a men’s magazine launched in Singapore.
After relocating to New York City in 2003, Mark continued to expand his practice, working for a design studio with clients across fashion, real estate, banking, and non-profit sectors. He also worked for the New York Dermatology Group, where he developed branding and packaging for their skincare lines, Colbert MD and NYDG skincare, and led design initiatives for the clinic, across advertising, digital, and social media.
With decades of experience and a hands-on approach, Mark brings strategic thinking and strong visual clarity to every project. He is continually motivated by new challenges and opportunities to evolve his craft.
